We finally get a break in the weather and get to take the first real drive in the 2017 Camaro SS with the Vortech V3 SI supercharger system. We get the first reactions and some beautiful sounds of the new system.

Centrifugal all the way. I wouldn't go double digit boost with stock internals though. You'll be building a 427 sooner than you think ..

I like the TVS whine but I want a centrifugal blower too. The big centrifugal blowers sound like they are going to suck you in. I’d love one on the G8.

It’s definitely in need of more sidewall if anything, that’s why 15” conversions are so popular. Or even a 17”

Absolutely love it Steve. Just a tip on the tires. Don't run out and buy new ones quite yet. I'm sure you know temp is everything. The supercar 3 tires on my 1LE with base HP get no traction either in this weather. Lol. Great job with the car man.

You need a radar detector I have a escort passport max 2 and it has saved me many times!!!

I have a few questions for you
1 how much better does your car feel?
2 what was your best 1/4 mile time before the supercharger?
3 how much do the rear louvers hurt rear view from the mirror? Been thinking about maybe getting one
