Every camera has limitations. One simply has to appreciate what it can do, and work within the limitations. From the enthusiastic reception this camera has received, and the beautiful footage being posted, this camera appears to be very capable. Perhaps firmware updates will make it even better.

I'm cool with the Pocket 3 not being waterproof. When I need to get wet, I'll roll with my Action 4. They've got different gigs.

I haven’t been as amazed by a device as much as this since the release of the very first iPhone. Had no idea it was even being released and saw one video and bought it. Have not been disappointed since it arrived. Two weeks to go until the filters are out from Freewell!

The reason why they didn’t make it wider from the get go may have to do that they wanted to have better depth of field (background separation from subject)

stop putting the pocket 3 inside that case, tons of people on forums are saying its slowing yanking the tiny screen too forward as you take it out of the case since its too tight, it'll eventually fail. I was so lucky to be able to return my pocket 3 on the 12th day. Lastly DONT flick the monitor open by its self, guide and HOLD the monitor when you flip it. that flicking snap on the monitor seems to be the main failure on these models.

I prefer they don't have the wide angle as standard. Having it as a seperate attachment works for me

I have used my pocket 2 in pouring rain for years. I put a piece of tape over the sd slot. When they say it’s not water proof it so you don’t take it swimming. You are nick picking. Can’t wait to get my pocket 3. Walking with Bruce. 🇨🇦

I think the menu is the best, super easy to use. I don't know why you said it's confusing and mention another type of menu that so hard to use.

Most of these aren't "downsides" to me. Just features that could be added. Face tracking in low light mode may be disabled because just as autofocus in most cameras doesn't always do well in low light situations, so too face tracking may be difficult to achieve in low light. I don't know if this can be helped with a firmware update, or an update to the hardware of the OP3 in the next version may be required.

How about 10X optical zoom, flip out arms that turns it into a flying camera, tiny interchangeable lens, auto photographer, oh that's active track, um remote control? oh we got that on the mic....I'll think of some more stuff later.🤑🤤

Water proofing is a must on all gear. Waste of money to buy this product.. I will just stick with my phone. I don't want another battery to charge.

I've ordered mine, which is on back order already. One concern I have is the screen and menu. The screen is fixed to the front of the camera and is difficult to see when angling the camera up o down. And at age 70, I'm sure the screen will be hard for me to use. I'm glad that it has the option of controlling it with the memo app on my phone or pad. Implementing the phone as a wireless monitor may require creating some kind of rig for run-n-gun shooting.Thanks for the video. I'm picky too.

I see pro "creators" who have long histories of explaining why no one should have a M43 camera due to low light shooting difficulties -suddenly become lovers of tiny sensors for pro work. Maybe save a few hundred bucks and plop an Osbot ME or PIVO Lite in your bag for tripod mounted tracking shots if that's something you need for variety in vlogging.

New Feature Requests for the New DJI OSMO Pocket 3

1. Add a dwelling time for each of up to four settable movement positions in Motion Time-Lapse Mode. As each of the four settable positions programmed into a motion time-lapse sequence is reached, the end user could set from 1 to 10 seconds of a pause in gimbal movement as each programmed position is reached during the sequence before the gimbal moves forward to the next programmed position. This would yield a much more dynamic and professional looking, smoother motion time-lapse sequence.
2. In Motion Time-Lapse Mode the ability to set movement ease in and ease out settings from 0.5 to 3 seconds for each programmable gimbal position before gimbal movement normal progression rate is reached.
3. True 24.00p filming speed.
4. The ability to set time-lapse sequences based on 24.00p.
5. The ability to be able to record from the DJI Mic 2 and from a plugged in via USB audio source at the same time.
6. Adding a 10 Bit 4:2:2 recordable video codec.
