Horsepower: 180 hp @ 6,400 rpm
Towing capacity: 1,000 lbs
Engine: 2.4 L 4-cylinder
Curb weight: 3,327 lbs

The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. If you wear headphones, your mind won't be blown, but it will go, "woah."

I'm also the producer for the Winding Road YouTube Channel:

Here on TheTopher, I'm known for putting a camera on my face and driving cars. Whether it's about any of my personal cars or reviews on weekly test vehicles, the goal is to give you an idea of what a certain car is like to drive or live with. Most of my videos are filmed in POV, with my clothes on, and (for like the 5th time) with in-ear binaural audio. Which, if I haven't made it clear yet, is why you should wear headphones. Because of the whole "woah" factor. It's there, trust me. Try it, you'll see! Or don't. As long as you whitelist me on your adblocker I'm okay with whatever you do or don't do with regards to headphone usage. That is all. Oh and I guess you should also probably subscribe. Why are you still reading this, you should be watching the video. With headphones! Hah, had to sneak that in there one more time. Later!

“It’s a little bit thick but it feels nice in hand.”

Love my compass but I have the manual 6spd which in my opinion is the better choice

They should have put a turbo on it to get it up to around 230 how to help with the drivetrain loss

My sis' daily is a Jeep Renegade and the times I've had to drive it I've been very impressed by the interior and pep it has, driving dynamics are what I'm used to or perfer but they seem very solid for a commuter car. Other complaints i or her have would be the questionable at times reliability the Renegades seem to have (she's on her second due to an accident) Jeeps to me at least seem to be excellent suvs with competent handling and nicely appointed interiors.

Canadian consumer in my seventies, dropped into dealership to look at used Honda, made a deal on the Compass Trailhawk, had it over the winter this year, love it!! Great size, visuals, and Uconnect system, would recommend to all seniors.

Just bought a 2020 compass a couple of months ago, not the best power but a great daily driver and looks great too.

First off that was one of the best car reviews I’ve ever seen, hands down. Second, the stereo should have Apple Carplay. Odd.

I am already sold on the new Compass and like nearly everything . Of course more power would be nice and FCA may take care of that with a turbo option for 19 or 20 . The new Cherokee offers a new 2.0 turbo with 270 hp. That would make the Compass really fun . As for the review ...nice job and I appreciated the long ride along to see the smoothness and noise level. I am looking at the Limited as my next vehicle . I wish it offered that nice looking tan interior . Nothing but all black or a mix of black and . Interiors should be tan or gray to keep down heat and not show every speck of dirt .

This is probably the best review I've seen on the Compass. I've been watching and reading every review I can find since its redesign in 2017/2018. Car and Driver review both the FWD and AWD versions back in 2018 and they said the six speed auto in the FWD is much smoother in operation (hunts around much less) and its actually a half second faster 0-60 vs. the nine speed in the AWD version. I live in a mild climate - never see snow - so I'm looking for a leftover 2022 FWD Latitude. They have a big rebate on them in California - $4, 000, plus dealers are discounting heavily on top of that. Might be a good commuter car.

I would love to see a review of the maual version and it would be awesome to see this engine with a power bump. The jeep wrangler review had me salivating.

I knew he was in Michigan that road looked at the beginning near the sports dome looked too familiar cause we always take it to go to Twelve Oaks I think. But I want the 2018 Jeep Compass Latitude.. do they pretty much ride the same?

This car looks pretty cool and it also depreciates pretty quickly. Buying a used one like this in a year or two should be pretty cheap. But has the durability of this Jeep changed in the year 2018?

Here in India we get a 1.4 turbo petrol and a 2.0 ltr 180 hp diesel which is amazing ...

It's a beautiful ride but once you notice the rear wheels aren't centered in the wheel wells it's all you see. How this got through to production is beyond me.

For anyone reading this - All Jeep Compass models available in the world are made in India, Brazil, China, Mexico and exported. The Indian plant manufactures mainly the 4x4 Sport variant.
