In his latest newsletter, Lewis explained that travellers are leaving their travel insurance to sort out close to the time of their holiday.
The issue with this is if you are diagnosed with an illness such as cancer that needs long-term treatment, you may not be able to go on your holiday.
If this is the case and you have not yet purchased your travel insurance, it is in the airlines rights to not refund you as the ticket is not faulty.
It is therefore important you sort your travel insurance as soon as you book your holiday to ensure you don’t make this same mistake.
