I'm a South Indian and I'm extremely fluent in Hindi probably more than my North Indian friends. But imposing Hindi in Tamil Nadu or Telangana is same as imposing Tamil/Telugu in UP and Delhi which these guys will never accept. Regardless, I'm an open minded person and I believe we are all Indians and we should be talking about better education, healthcare and eradicating poverty.

I have seen how they mocked tamilians in kasi, in temple. I was in line, and a Tamil Family was there behind us in line . The staff there mocked straight on their faces. Those people were so hurt.

I am from north but learning Tamizh! Tamizh is such a structured language! Actually I like learning languages. Also Tamizh is probably one of the oldest so it is very very important to preserve it because it is an asset to India! I am very greteful to people of tamizh nadu that they resisted hard to protect this asset! Also conservative ideology is not good generally by in this case it is an advantage that Tamizh culture is conservative! This is evident in the language because the grammatical structures have not changed very much from the age of திருக்குறள். I am enjoying learning தமிழ் in my free time. தமிழ் மொழி ஒரு அழகான மொழி! வாழ்க தமிழ் மொழி!!
