Update: The PS3 keeps saying update to 4.91 or later. What now?

Update 2: The PS3 pulled itself together and is running again. The answer to the problem was (ironically) to update to 4.91, because the system failed to update and got stuck.

This video didn't help with my problem. My CFW isn't working and I can't down grade my system from 4.91 to 4.90. Somehow my system upgraded. I checked my auto upgrade and it was turned off. Has the exploit team come up with a solution yet? I need to get this fix ASAP.

For those ones who have problems with downgrading, just paciently wait for the damn PS3HEN update if u dont want to screw anything up. Remember to check the status on their website, if im correct the update should be avaliable by a couple of days from now on

Contacting the author I have 4.91, I need to roll back to 4.90 in the menu, I click update, writes no update found.I did it in another way by holding down the button and writing the message was not found .

Doesn't work. When you try to do it in safe mode it says:
"No applicable update data was found.
Connect storage Media that contains update data of version 4.91 or later, and then press START and SELECT buttons at the same time."

When trying to downgrade through the settings it tells me no applicable data found. I also get the same message and safe mode. I have the 4.90 on a USB stick for matted to fat 32 with the PS3 folder and the update folder made.

I have a ps3 fat model and got it from ebay working and i downloaded 4.91 firmware without realizing i couldn't jailbreak it after. This did not help what so ever, someone help

I don't have my PS3 jailbreak but is the 1st gen backwards compatability and with that update now doesn't read PS2 games anymore

Hey man Just a Quick question, with the latest Sony update I did all the steps to access the "new" PSN, but it didn't update me like what happened to you even if I connected to the PSN only by having HEN activated, but if it hasn't arrived it doesn't work.. . it's normal? Because it didn't download anything for me but apparently it works
