steer with pegs vs countersteering

weight shifting or steering with pegs is tricky as it requires connecting all your turns together. Once learned it frees up the hands to feel for grip rather than putting in bar inputs meaning front tucks are less frequent and easier to save.

This looks similar to what I do for MotoGymkhana where i drop the inside hip to lean the bike down and into full lock. Though, I cant do it at the lean or speed that you're at without feeling like I'm muscling the bike down.

How do you stay leaned over once you get there? Do you maintain pressure on the inside peg or something like that? I feel like the bike wants to bounce back up the moment it leans to the lowest

Peg steering? Are you claiming you aren’t using your arm whatsoever during this clip? No such thing as peg steering. You must be counter steering during this clip whether you claim to be or not. You’re likely shoving your arm forward and backwards to turn right and left respectively for counter steering. Otherwise I have no idea what you’re trying to suggest with steering with the pegs. That’s just not how physics work on a bike.

Hmmm there is no such thing as peg steering. Stop spewing bullshit. You CAN shift your weight to unbalance the motorcycle in one direction or another but thats not steering the bike effectively. There are many videos proving this. Countersteering is the only effective method to steer a motorcycle. Body positioning does affect the trajectory but much less than you are making it to be.
