She managed to merge ballet and figure skating so beautifully that the result is better than either one by itself. A perfect hybrid.

What makes me sad, specially now that she is taking a break from skating and perhaps never coming back again, is that during the time she was skating and winning it all, she was not rightfully celebrated as the wonderful, talented athlete that she is. And she also didn't receive enough recognition for her achievements, compared to the reception that, for example Kostornaja is getting nowadays (what she also definitely deserves!). Instead Alina got a lot of hate, because Medvedeva and all the drama around her. I think it wasn't fair for Alina to receive that treatment. I love her, I think she is something special and I wish her all the best for her future!

Perfection. She has such a mature understanding of music. When the music gets chaotic and fast she perfectly reflected this in her step sequence. Even the last spin right at the end the rotations during the I-Spin are perfeclty timed to the last echoing of the music. Seriously one of the best SPs ever created.
