As a candle maker pls dont do this, wicks for one jar may not work properly for another sized jar. Can overheat the glass and shatter, also any pretty glasses may not stand heat and can also shatter. Make sure size and candle friendly glasses are taken into consideration always. I sell pretty candles that dont break the bank alongside wax melts and fun home living items if any is interested! Please be incredibly careful if you do this! Not all glassware is safe for use as a candle holder. Because candles don't heat the glass evenly, there is a risk of the glass explosively shattering. You can get glass made for candles relatively cheaply, without the risks. Also, wax melts aren't always safe for use with open flames. They can occasionally catch fire if they aren't made with the right scents or oils.

You can get like 10lbs of wax off amazon for $35, usually comes with wicks and make a ton of candles. Then you can scent with whatever you want. Love making candles.

You know you can just buy wicks for super cheap right? Also, wax melts don’t melt the same as actual candles. You’ll have tunneling in your candles. Also, I’d the heat of the flame gets too close to the glass (which this seems like it will) the glass can break.

TLDR; don’t do this, there are cheaper and safer ways.

Those wicks are 50% off right now at Michaels. And Amazon has a pack of 100 for 5.99 love the idea behind this. You always have such great videos. There is a hot cocoa candle right now at Dollar tree that melts down perfectly for the glass mug also at Dollar tree right now (rare to find them at the holidays). I used it and then chose marshmallow candles and melted them and put them in snowflake silicon ice tray (also at dollar tree). They look great and smelled amazing. I made six of them as stocking gifts. Kept one for myself to test it out. LOVED IT! Thanks so much for your content. 😊

You could also just buy some wicks instead of doing all the extra melting with the pillar candles too.. && You would probably wanna add some scent since the dollar tree wax melts have little to no scent at all especially after already melting down! Cute idea though..

I always melt down all the bottoms of my candles and add more scent and make wax melts!

I've tried those Dollar tree wax melts and none of them have a scent that lingers nor do the oils. And most of the candles don't retain a scent either. Am I picking the wrong ones because I can't find one that will scent a room.
