YIKES! Vet tech mommy here - I’m sure Katherine knows what she is doing, but many essential oils can cause harm to your dogs and ESPECIALLY cats. Essential oils are extremely toxic no matter the quality. They can cause severe liver and kidney issues or even death. Oils should never be applied directly to the animal or ingested by them. Even diffusing them in your home puts them at risk. Consult your local veterinarian if you have any questions.

Love it except for the oils. I've never seen a essential oil at my dollar tree. Just scent oils. You have to be careful what you atomise. Some things are harmful to get in your lungs like this. You would be better off with actual plant based EO or plain water. Super fun tutorial though. Wonder if we have those at my store.

3 to 5 DROPS of oil. Thats all it takes. Dont pour it like this!

Love your ideas! BUT, if you have PETS please make sure you confirm safe for pets. Most oils are highly toxic to all, but especially pets, and some aromas are VERY BAD!

Be careful tho. I read on my 🐱 Cat Facebook page that the diffuser can make them really sick if the diffuser is at cat nose height.

*My mom almost killed her cat this way.* It was very serious. Its mainly 2 issues. 1, oil thats diffused clings to the water evaporated and cats lungs aren't equipped to breathe in the oil too, 2, depending on the oil you diffuse, the cat can be allergic.

normal humidifiers are great for cats though, as long as its just plain water.

Great idea. I’d probably not use the oils due to toxicity (lots of articles on this) but love the look.
