Epiphone and Squier have really turned it up over the last year or two. Love to see (hear) it!

I just recently got back into playing after over a decade and when I found out that Epiphone changed their headstock, I snatched this up as soon as I could(I always hated the old headstock. It may sound dumb or petty, but the headstock is what kept me from ever being interested in an epiphone). I loved this guitar immediately out of the box. Extremely happy I got it.

Great review! I've had this guitar for a couple of years and it is one of my best. Plays and sounds great. This guitar has an all mahogany body, no maple cap (like the early Gibson Les Paul Customs).

Got this axe for my wife. She really enjoys it. Switched out the black pickguard for a clear pickguard which gave it an awsum look (wish I could post pics here). I got the Epiphone hard shell Les Paul case which works great. Agreed that this should come with a hard shell case but the price would be close to $1, 000. If you prefer to use a Les Paul hard shell case from Gibson, this axe will fit just fine.

Bought a black one for my son, got a white one for me. The quality has improved so much since the early 2000s. I have an Epiphone Black Beauty from then and love the looks....but the quality of components is much lower compared to what Gibson and Epiphone are offering today. It feels like balsa wood compared to the new ones.

The new ones make spending $$$ on a Gibson very difficult.

I have the black version. While it does not compare to my Gibson, it's an amazing guitar and the price to value ratio is out of this world. Really awesome guitar by Epiphone

Well I just put my PRS SE Standard 24 in vintage cherry(extremely nice guitar) on a stand and plugged in my Ebony Epiphone "Inspired By Gibson" Les Paul Custom after watching this video. Your videos inspire me to play the guitars that I own when I see them being reviewed on YouTube.

Played the Ebony one at the shop a few times and nearly bought it but I have a 1968 Gibson Custom and just felt I didn't need another one . . . take that as you will 😂 It's a lovely instrument (I believe it's solid mahogany, like the 50's Gibsons, which is part of the reason I was attracted to it ???). I put the money towards a Japanese made Gretsch solid body - just wanted something a bit different.

I just picked one up used at GC for 530.00

Amazing workmanship no tool marks like yours, Sounded played great

Went in looking for a Thinline Tele .

The only bad thing is that due to some FL law It has to be held by GC for 30 days so I can’t bring it home for 3 weeks

I went to the shop near my location and i've tried this exact same LP custom. OMG i went home with it.
So good, i'm very happy.

These seem great. I would love to see a side-by-side comparison between this and the Koa Custom and see what differences you feel and or hear.

I went up to GC to pick up a guitar I was having repaired. While I was waiting for the repair tech to bring me my guitar, I sat down to see what all of this Epiphone Les Paul custom was all about. I ended up buying it on the spot and it's now my favorite guitar that I've ever owned. I've been playing for 25 years

I bought one last year, it wasn't set up very well, the intonation was terrible, also my pickups needed to be higher but after giving it a fret levelling and a good set up, it now plays fantastic

I’ve had one of these for about a year and a half. Threw locking tuners on it and put a Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge for more output. It’s one of my favorite guitars I own, and that’s out of a pretty expensive collection. Says a lot about these. They’re a workhorse! I will be picking up a black one soon to have the pair.

I have this exact model. I LOVE it. Sure, it took a little setup but what guitar doesn't? I have owned MANY LPs and this is my fav of them all. I love the Kalamazoo headstock. I also prefer the 14 degree headstock angle with less string tension on the nut. Poly is definitely my choice over nitro. My guitar will still be white in 10 years and does not dent nearly as easily. This one came in at 8.6 lbs. Love that! I just can't say enough good things about this LP guitar. Good job Epi! Pickups are amazing sounding. They will not be replaced. I did replace the bridge with a Gotoh. I do that on all LPs. The stock ones dig into my hands and I hate the spring on the ABR. Another mod, I always replace the strap buttons with AllParts oversize buttons that really bite into the strap. Very, Very happy with this one. It will be a long time before it is new guitar time.

This is my number 1 go to guitar. Especially when I get a gig at a new venue. Hasn’t felled me yet. I have the Silverburst and thinking about getting the Black Gold one

Excellent Content, Gnarly riffs. i have this model, with the Larger Diamond and i put gold 490r /498T Gibson pickups in it
to make it like a Gibson custom and i love the ebony fretboard width, and i run this through a Katana MK2 head, and a metal zone pedal. a very unique Les Paul sound

Its literally the best guitar out there, not only for the price but the playability, the slim 60s taper neck is the best neck I've ever played and im a shreader. Just get new pickups and change the hardware. It doesn't stay in tune very well with the existing hardware but what les paul guitar does?? The pickups are ok for soft rock but anything more you'll need better pickups. Id suggest emgs "i know 😂" but they make the guitars completely silent when you're not playing. No feedback, no hiss. Best guitar out there.
