Hi i am 15 years old and I am a pigeon toed walker and I often have pain in my knees and I am wondering what kind of help I could get or if I need help at all. All I know is that I often stumble at my own feet and have a lot of knee pain :)

Hi Dr. Jarman, im a mother f a 4 year old daughter in Malta. From a very tender age i was always concerned about how she positioned her toes, which is intoeing. i went to a lot of doctors and even at hospital but they only tell me that it is something from the hip and that it will improve. she even had insoles but im not seeing any improvement made, i am just seeing her getting worse. can you help me on what i should do in this case? i really want her to improve since she us younger. thanks

OMG. I wish I knew this earlier or have researched it earlier. I noticed my son and daughter walking with one leg straight and one leg was dragging or as I learned from this video intoed since they were 5 but thought maybe that just how kids walk. Now they are 12 and 8. It is too late to do anything???
Please help.

After watching this, I'm slightly confused and frustrated. My 2 year old has been on a workup for CP since she was 6 months, and earlier this year, we discovered she has metatarsus adductus. Ortho and PM&R said no bracing needed, it should resolve itself. Now she runs (and mine you, she's been running since she started walking at 1, so this isn't something related to being new to running) with her legs swinging out, and I'm noticing more and more her legs are rotating inward from her hips.

So I was told no treatment necessary for MTA, and now I hear that we basically missed our window for optimal response to treatment, plus she appears to have another condition, femoral anteversion, on top of it. She's complaining of pain more and more, too, which makes me feel so bad for her. Now I'm considering a second opinion, but it's so hard to get in anywhere, and I do love her neurologist and would hate to have to switch clinics and make communication a bit harder for the different doctors in different clinics.

I noticed my daughter intoeing as a newborn. I asked her peds doc does she have Metatarsus Adductus. She confirmed with photos with ortho. She's 7mths now. Her original pediatrician said usually don't start treatment until 6mths. But moved to a new peds doc, and she said don't really know until start walking. I see her move her feet in and out. Should I press the issue of bracing now?

Heyy I'm almost 18 now and I have it, is there a way to self correct it by imposing forced way of walking correctly? Will that train my brain to stop walking that like?
