What is Ethernet?
ईथरनेट एक मानक संचार नेटवर्क प्रोटोकॉल है, जो उपकरणों को कुछ नियमों द्वारा एक दूसरे के साथ संचार करने में सक्षम बनाता है।
Ethernet is a standard communication network protocol ,which enables the devices to communicate with each other by some rules.
Ethernet एक technology होता है जो की Wired Local Area Network में इस्तेमाल होता है| LAN एक computer network होता है जो की small area जैसे की घर, ऑफिस, school, college को cover करता है मतलब की LAN, small area में computer network establish करने का काम करता है|
यह एक Network protocol होता है जो LAN (Local Area Network) के द्वारा Transmit होने वाले data को control करता है मतलब की data कैसे transmit करना है वो यह बताता है| IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) ने Ethernet को एक Protocol 802.3 के जैसा define किया लेकिन अगर general term में बात करें तो यह एक प्रकार का LAN नेटवर्क होता है|
Why is Ethernet so popular?
Ethernet is the most popularly and widely used local area network (LAN) architecture.Ethernet features high speeds, robustness (i.e., high reliability), low cost and adaptability to new technologies. These features have helped it maintain its popularity despite being one of the oldest of the LAN technologies.
Disadvantages of Ethernet :
It offers a nondeterministic service.
It doesn’t hold good for real-time applications because it requires deterministic service.
As priority packets cannot be set, it’s not suitable for a client-server architecture.
The receiver cannot able to send any knowledge after receiving the packets.
