It's December! And while that usually means Christmas LGR things, these two Duke Nukem Evercade Collection cartridges were just released and there was no way I was gonna miss out on covering remasters of some of my favorite games. Especially since I got to be involved in their creation, just a little bit at least!

Apologies to Andrew for the mix-up and I give him full permission to give me crap about it next time we hang out 😄

Thanks again for your invaluable feedback during development Clint, and for reviewing the games on your channel! It was a really fun project, and I hope some of the passion we put into Duke 1&2 shines through. It's still a bit surreal for me sometimes how my little hobby project has lead to working on an actual official Duke Nukem release!

It has to be absolutely surreal to see your name in the credits of a re-release of one of your favorite game serieses of all time, has to feel like a "coming full-circle" moment. Congrats to you and the team for the awesome work they did on these ports!

Showing off your original physical versions of every single game in the collection is exactly kind of flex I'm here for

When I was 8, my Uncle gave me a CD with a slee of games on it (Duke 1&2 among many others). My Uncle passed away in 2006 (my mom passed away July 2023). I wish both couldve been here to see this (my mom was the first to witness me gaming as a kid). Thanks for covering these gems.

Gosh, those remakes of DN1 and DN2 are _gorgeous!_ I can't get over the super-smooth framerate, the helpful widescreen and the faithfulness to the originals! Those were two of MY faves back in the day as well, and I still replay them from time to time. What an honor it must have been to be a big part of it!

Cheers for the review, Clint! This was a really fun and exciting musical project to be a part of, especially with Lee Jackson's blessing to reimagine his DN3D music using AdLib synthesis.

Here's hoping that Bobby Prince's iconic music gets saved from licensing hell eventually.

Keep kickin' ass and chewing bubblegum!

Holy Sh*t! Clint you are now a part of official Duke history. This is not small. This is actually a very big deal. WOW! I have been watching since the beginning and even have signed floppy and talked with you at the retro expo's. I am sooo happy for you my guy!

I will never not love the fact that LGR Christmas has become a full on nostalgic tradition for me.

It's super badass that the Evercade line is still supported. I was afraid it would fold after a year, turns out they're a solid bastion of classic gaming and that is RAD AF.

Clint, thank you for great content for over a decade and for always putting some great Christmas specials.

Duke is definitely your spirit character. I have always adored your Duke voice. This video brought to light some really cool things I never knew about. Congrats on getting to work with these guys!!

Evercade exclusive or not, it's really awesome that these exist, and even cooler that they reached out to you to help ensure that they were the best they could possibly be. That's a nice level of dedication to see from a project like this.

Also I assume you've put "Resident Duke Expert" on your business cards.

I think that bit about being in the credits is the only actually humble "humble brag" I've seen all year! Way to go Clint, you deserve it!!

Resident Duke Expert gotta be the best credit title out there

Man, that first Duke game takes me back. I used to play that on my grandfather's PC that ran on an OS called GEOS. Typing in DUKE1.EXE, then spending hours just wandering around the levels shooting stuff was always a good time. This game, along with Commander Keen, Cosmos, and Captain Comic were some of my earliest PC gaming memories

I got these in the mail yesterday, opened the manual and immediately saw Clint's name dropped in the opening paragraph and got immediately more excited.
