On August 28, 2015 a small team of Nike athletes went overseas to Chamonix, France to compete in some of the biggest ultra endurance events in the world.

The UTMB® (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) is a 170 km/105 mile race circumventing the Alps, crossing into 3 countries with over 33,000 ft of elevation gain.

The CCC® (Chamonix-Courmayeur-Champex) is a 101 km race starting in Courmayeur, Italy and also finishing in Chamonix, France. This race has over 20,000 ft of positive elevation change.

Both events are considering one of the toughest at its respective distances. American men have not typically fared well there. As such, Nike athletes David Laney (UTMB), Tim Tollefson (CCC) and Zach Miller (CCC) set out to prove that American men can compete and compete well in the imposing European mountains.

What an epic film! Content is so widely available these days that it's too easy forget the amount of work that goes into creating it - thanks for making this and making it free for all to watch!

I really forgot how incredible epic this movie is, Billy. 2015 was the first time I was in Chamonix. 2015 was the time I decided to take up on ultra-running and compete in the UTMB. I qualified, but in 2018 and 2019 I had to drop out both times due to heavy hallucinations. I will be back, and your movie acts as my reminder to why, why I should and why I would want to be back. Cheers.

Billy, every film you make captures what we love about trail running so perfectly. It makes me so pumped and so proud to be a runner, training hard, racing hard and going after what we love. Amazing film!

Just found this!! My husband Ed Van Vliet (75 years of age - I turned 70 on the trail) and our friends Ron and Barb Douglas (69 and 59) hiked the 100 mile UTMB Chamonix to Chamonix at this same time. Incredible experience for us! But being able to be there as the runners competed running on the same trails we were hiking brought forth such respect for those incredible athletes!! Thank you for this film!

I love the concept of “things started to click” at mile 49. Or another doc I watched, she felt her legs wake up after six hours. The human body is an incredible machine.

In the past 3 years, I've been watching this film many times, every time I got different feelings. At the beginning, UTMB and those runners were like dreams to me, so far away. Thanks to Billy and your film, I got the chance to work for COROS and know Tim & David. Last November, I worked as a companion for Tim during his trip to China and UTMS 50K. You will never know how life will turn around. Thank you Billy for making such good films! Hopefully that I can see you in China someday.

Again, Billy, you are the Man! Thanks so much for bringing this into my home in Cairns, Australia, where I didn't know this running existed until I came across your films. Thanks so much. It's beautiful to see the strength available to us, to see what could be possible in overcoming our own obstacles or reaching for the seemingly impossible.

Watching this again as the pandemic lockdowns are slowly coming to an end. I want to remind myself that the mountains will always be there and I just need to be more patient to be free again.

Billy Yang you clever man. Your films capture the essence of not only the event but the sport and the athletes in general. I hope wherever you are you living a dream and continuing to make more of these videos loved by so many

I really liked your video. I don't run 100  miles but at 66 years old I do mountain trekking (Mt. Kilimanjaro, Inca Trail, Grand Canyon). I like to watch your videos while I'm training on the treadmill in my basement. Yes, treadmill. I live at sea level with no hills so that's the best I can do. I put the incline all the way up and carry a 20 pound backpack.  Your videos keep me going.

I've bought many ultra-running videos. Ones in French, Spanish and English. This one is hands down my favorite. Hands down!
