Sweet Potatoes Will Change how you feel about PIZZA... really. This is a sweet potato pizza dough that is super fermented and tastes incredible!! It's so easy to make, takes a bit of waiting time but beyond worth it! It's bready, crispy, and is baked perfectly for homemade pan pizza! I havnt tried it yet in a pizza oven directly on a stone but I bet its outa this world!

Love making Roti bread with sweet potatoes. Such a great way to bump up the nutrition on a simple carb.

I've made gluten-free flatbreads with parsnip, a winner every time. I'm a fan of adding a root vegetable to help compensate for the taste of actual bread (dear critics, bread needs forms of salt, sugar and oil), but this looks MARVELLOUS. A Really inspiring recipe, thanks for sharing.

In italy we have basically two kind of pizza, the classic pizza (that can be soft or really thin and crispy) and what we call pizza al forno (bakery pizza) and it's very similar to that (although there is no cashew and sweet potato but... yeah). It seems very tasty, I love that kind of pizza

My subs when out of ingredients or wanting healthier version: apple cider vinegar for the lemon juice, whole grain flour + 2 tbsp of gluten for whole grain crust, canned pumpkin for sweet potato, date sugar for syrup

Tried this using overnight soaked dough and overnight poolish very little yeast and steamed it as pizza base. It doubled up so much and turned out amazingly fluffy (not dense like usual) and so delicious. Added 1/4 tsp of xanthan gum, meltedin coconut oil

This is such a great idea! I’ve used sweet potato in Mexican concha’s. Can’t wait to try it in pizza dough.

I will never wrap my head around people who comment on recipes about there being too much/little of a seasoning or salt. Holy crud, folks, use a little common sense. It's a recipe, not the blueprints for a spaceship.

I'd give a pass to those whose comments are more along the lines of 'if you find this is too much for you, here's how you can adapt it' so you're offering a solution instead of just complaining.

Last time I went a fancy pizzaria I had a pizza with actual potatoes on it and now cheese it was great. I might give this a try. I could prep it on one of my fast days and cook it on an eating day.

[slightly relieved to not see chickpeas . . . ] I have never used potatoes of any kind for a pizza dough, though I've used Russets for bread, but it makes sense and adds nutrition. Being a Detroiter, I think this would be awesome for a Detroit style pie. Thanks for posting 🙂
