This trail definately doesnt require a duallie-hell you could ride that on a department store bike

For the rockier trails, I use my full suspension, but when I go to my local woods I prefer riding my hardtail because it feels way more fun!

Never heard full squish before. Only times I've ever ridden a full squish was when I was on vacation and rented. I have a hard tail and a full hard haha. Seriously the steel frame hard tail with the rigid steel fork is my most favoritist bike I've ever had.

Hardtails
Can climb better
Can jump better
Can pump better
Less maintenance
And more fun cuz the rear wheel is jumpy and it gives more challange

And full sus is only good for technical descents
Bad for jumps if your not good at it
Bad for climbing cuzz its shocks and pivets
Move and even if you have lock out the geometry of full sus aka enduro is for descents
And handrails aka cross-country are for racing without technical and for climbing and descents

Also handrails can do technical like full sus
But slower so over all

Full sus is better at technical and descents
But less fun cuz it doesn't give a challenge were the rear bounces

My opinion hardtails are more fun and exciting and perfect for bike packing and exploring

Than full sus
Only for descents and technical races

I prefer hardtail mountain bike if you're not into all mountain trails and prefer light trails it's also good for road commuting and bike touring

I started out on a hard tail, but now ride a full sus. The suspension gives me more confidence on the trails around here. Love the video! I subbed!

Easy answer. If all the trails in your area are rooty and rocky, full squish. If they are smooth and flowy, hard tail

Man im always going back and forth for some things I like hardtail (Like jumps and pump track) for others I like Dual. Heck I would love a really good HT (DJ) and a really good Dual then I would be happy.

After switching to a mid-level full suspension bike I probably won’t go back to hard tail, I’ve owned about 6-7 nice hard tails but now I’m on a specialized camber 29er and it’s just fun ALL the time 😄

From 2001 to 2006, I rode an United ( steel ) non suspension bike, then a Schwinn SX60 ( elastometric non regulation in the front, spring in the back ), then an Irohorse Warrior 3.1 ( spring, full suspension with regulation ) …. it is time for a fully suspension with air suspension and regulation . It is true, you should learn in a basic frame while you develop your skills but once you have done that, get a comfortable ride .

Great video! I recognized Toro streets right away! And then the hills I used to run through. I live in Salinas and just picked up road bikes pretty serious two years ago and now want to explore further into Fort Ord and Toro. I will most likely stick around this area and an occasional Redwood forest trails. 36yrs old, PE teacher, would you recommend to stick with a HT or go FS?

I live in a town where all the trails are SUPER “rooty” so I just bought a Fezzari Abajo Peak.
