The "vanishing hotel" story was revealed as a hoax back in 2008. There were too many questions unanswered. E.g. how were the supposed guests able to spend hours interacting with people from 75 years earlier, but no one ever asked about their clothing or mannerisms? Similarly how could the couples have seen so many "antique" items without once asking their hosts? And most important how were they able to pay their hotel bill using currency that wasn't introduced till the 1960s?
