Banks should be FORCED into giving every Mortgage Holder who lost their home to the Lahaina fire that was no fault of their own, but was the fault of the State for not sounding the alarm, no water, and not directing traffic out of Lahaina to be made to deferral all those Mortgages so as they aren't forclosed on instead of only giving them three months grace before they have to pay those three months all at once. Its a disgrace how the Government and State are trying to force them to loose their land. Its Criminal. It should be the Government paying their Mortgages until they get back on their feet being it was the Government who were to blame for criminal negligence. Remember those that lost their homes also lost their jobs.

Cover the 12, 000 plus signatures in opposition to re-opening west side that was hand delivered to the, ahem, absent governors office last week. Come to Maui but stay away from Lahaina side & respect those grieving this horrible tragedy is the message more locals want to spread.

we lived in maui.. theres nothing respectful about the citizens there.. and i doubt theyve gotten any better
