This is the type of weapon a Ronin would use. Give a blacksmith his chains from when he was enslaved and forge it into a blade to get revenge. Goes hard as fuck.

if you're wondering why he calls it a wakizashi and not a katana is because the wakizashi is the samurai's second sword after all their other weapons either broke or they dropped it during battle or for indoor fighting as the katana was too long to use indoor and at one point during the peaceful Edo period the wakizashi became more popular than the katana.
also, fun fact: katana in Japan simply means any Japanese sword and the katana the one we all know real name is actually the uchigatana.
edit: also, the wakizashi has a shorter handle which would classify this sword as an uchigatana and not a wakizashi.

loved that u did clay hardening.

tho there r few more methods u could do to mimic the authentic katana forging, then design it however u wanted

Well, it certainly looks cool. But I'm pretty sure there's a different name for one of that scale. I think it's Tanto? I don't know.

While I'm not a fan of the "tanto" tip on the blade, I think you made it look great. 10/10, my friend.

Nice I like how you used the Clay when you tempered it so it's softer in the back and unlocks recoil in the blade.

A real Katana gets folded over and over when it is being made, every time you fold the metal, it gets stronger

It lools beautiful, but I think katanas are folded 16 times into half. That means it has 2^16 layers, which is more than 30.000 layers. This gives the flexibility and strength of the blade.
