Today I'm going to forge Scythe a pole weapon used by military. Couple of years back i forged a scythe with a different design, you guys loved it, so i decided to make another one with a new design so here it is.

This time I used rusted iron chain Link to forge it. I believe iron of chain is quite good to forge something big and strong. I hope you'll enjoy it and share it with everyone and let me know your favorite weapons from history in the comment section. If you enjoyed video give it thumbs up and Subscribe @OLDSMITH to never miss any update.

Hypnotic watching an old chain link become a thing of beauty. Great work.

It's the shape of a scythe, but it's not really one. The inner curve is suppose to sharpened, not the outer curve. You just made a medieval battle weapon.

It’s like a khopesh and a spear combined 😮
Indeed it is very artistic and amazing work! Still can’t believe that it was a rusty chain before 😮

So, just as a point of order, it would be a poleaxe. A scythe would have the blade on the interior of the curve, not the outside. No matter what, it is a beautiful fantasy piece.

I'm a simple man. I see the word "scythe", I click it.

I just wish that in another life I've studied ironworks just to make things like those

all i could think of when you where doing the engravings on the blade was "NO ROOBEER NOOO ROOBEER, ROOBEER NO ROOBEER."

It's so nice and thankful for putting a protection to the screen just to protect the eyes of his viewers when he begin to welding 😊😊

DUDE, this is SERIOUSLY COOL. I have an extremely cool idea to make this even better tho, but it's weird.
so basically, can you please cut the scythe in half, use the half with the blade as a scabbard, and then use the bottom part to make a short sword, and build a thingy to stabilize the entire thing when combined, that would be really cool.

I wish I could learn this type of craftmanship maybe not specifically to forge weapons but it would come in handy in the future.

I like how this would be a good basis for a decorative Egyptian Khopesh

This weapon would be much more imposing if it had a blade on both sides, it would be something much more unusual
