Nice to see the RWAFF getting some attention, my late father was an NCO in the Gold Coast Regiment.

Recently found photographs and newspaper clippings about my grandfather Sgt Alan Mckie who was tasked with moving equipment in 1945 with the 82nd to set up a jeep service depot during the push inland. It took 3 days for them to get across the hills pushing motorcycles and equipment up hills and lower down on ropes. They were met with flat land after that with no shade from the sun. The locals and the Reme then had to make rafts to cross the river and set up the depot. Amazing men, very proud of him.
