Veery hard to get proper durians, a lot that are sold are premature and not fully ripe so they don’t have the good flavor developed yet. Which is a shams, they’re super tasty as long as you ignore the smell.

🤣🤣🤣 I like fruit. Once I had a chance to try durian. It was supposed to be cold and specially packed but wasn't and you could smell it. (Hard to do as the smell goes through plastic) the poor mailman threw it over the fence. I broke it open outside and trashed the shell, which seemed to contain most of the smell but it was still strong. I tried it and loved it. It's really rich and kinda like a cream brulee. Some parts were not all the way ripe and that came off like moo shu. Kinda sweet but also a flavor like onion/cabbage. That was actually good too. I was so excited for my family to try I brought it in only to be yelled at to get it out! 😆 No one else tried it.

Encountered my first durian smell and it was def a stinky smell. There were signs saying the gas smell is coming from the fruit and the store doesn’t have a gas leak… crazy!
