Your shirt today reminds me: Last summer when I shopped the perennial area of my local nursery I had several people approach me to ask gardening questions. Flattered, I thought “wow, I must have that knowledgeable gardeners face” and answered them as best I could…..until I looked down and saw that I had worn my Garden Answer shirt that day. 😂 What a great conversation starter….not that gardeners need much encouragement to share experiences. Thank you to you and Aaron for every joyful addition to the world wide gardening community. Your channel is a refreshing escape every day! ♥️

Ludwig Späth was a german botanist, court gardener and owner of the famous „Späth’sche Baumschule“ in Berlin where alle the royalties used to buy their trees and shrubs. The nursery is still in business and is considered to be the oldest one in Germany.

Laura, you should consider using metal tree tags on your bushes, shrubs and trees. It’s so nice to have the names permanently in place.

I started using the Epsoma fertilizers because of your channel. I am excited to see the difference they will make in the health of my garden this year. Isn’t it exciting to see the plants emerge from their winter slumber? Happy planting and much success. I love your channel!

You should be proud, you have done A LOT of work in a year!
I've said this before, but I want to say it again, I absolutely LOVE the progression shots of how the land has developed over the years!

Oh, Laura, so nice to see all those bits of green pushing up through soil. Spring is my favorite time of year. I had to laugh when you said you “think” you got quite a lot done in the South Garden last year. To accomplish all you did in one year is amazing, especially with a new baby. It’s such a joy to see you develop this barren piece of land into a thing of beauty and learn so much along the way. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, enthusiasm, successes and failures…..and for bringing us a little bit of joy everyday. 🥰

Greetings, Laura, from Windermere Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸
It began raining 🌧 about 4a.m. and my water rocks are full. Yeah, rain 🌧 water for my porch plants.
Happy Gardening Everyone 🌿💚🌿

Lilac memories- My Dad cutting a bunch of lilacs in the spring for me to take to my kindergarten teacher. I remember we wrapped them in wet paper towel and aluminum foil, which dripped all the way to school! Lilacs such amazing scent.

We have a park near me called Lilacia Park—which is all lilacs and tulip bulbs. It is glorious to visit in the spring when everything is in bloom. The town also is know as “lilac city” and gives a free lilac bush to any citizen who would like one each year. I found myself thinking as you were talking about the space wishing I could time travel 5 years to see the space and then 10 years. It is going to be so beautiful and how fun to fill in a blank canvas with your very own masterpiece!! 🌳 💐🌲 🌺

I did enjoy watching you spring clean and fertilize perennials and shrubs. I’m excited to see your lilacs in bloom next year. Super excited to watch where all of those gorgeous trees are going to be planted! Enjoy your day! 🌱

“The plan? Just keep workin’.” I love your style. Just place plant material and dig it in. Your details are so great: when fertilizing, stand upwind, get low & pour. All the common sense and streamlining we could want. Meanwhile the videography is next level, love every edit and even the music breaks.

It’s so wonderful to see all the new, green growth - we just picked up a couple inches of new snow here in WI😔 A thought occurred to me when you said the bag of fertilizer broke and you put it in a bucket… it might be easier to fertilize the number of things you do if you put it in a watering can with an open nozzle. That way, you can just walk around and pour. It might give you a bit more control than a bucket. Just a thought. I truly enjoy your videos - thank you!!

I love that you do this work all on your own and that you're not just a pretty face behind the camera like a lot of DIY's.

So fun to see the new growth coming in! I love watching all of your videos. You are upbeat and always find a positive even to disappointments. I appreciate that you show successes and failures. I have gained so much more confidence in gardening from learning from you (especially pruning videos like this)! Thank you and God Bless!

Oh, I wish I could grow a proud berry coral berry! It’s way too hot and humid here to have one in my garden. I will vicariously through Laura and her gardens I guess. Have a great weekend everybody!!
