HoYoverse has finally revealed the upcoming characters for the long-awaited version 5.0 Natlan update. Kinich, a new Dendro character, has been confirmed to be released as a playable character in the next patch. He is a Saurian Hunter in the story and is often seen with his pixelated companion, Ajaw. So far, HoYoverse has shown Ajaw as a pixelated character who is always with Kinich, so we can assume that he will be part of Kinich's gameplay, similar to Xiangling & Guoba or Fischl & Oz.

Team Mew, a reliable source in the community, has confirmed that Kinich will be a 5-star character who uses a claymore as his weapon, which can be seen in the Natlan teaser. This makes him the second Dendro Claymore user after Kaveh and the third male 5-star claymore user after Diluc and Itto.

There's no confirmation about the phase in which he will get his banner, but according to rumors, he's expected to appear in the second phase of version 5.0, which will be released on September 17th. Now, moving on to his kit, playstyle, talents, constellations, and signature weapon stats.

Starting with his kit and playstyle, according to info shared by FouL, Kinich will be a main DPS unit, and his kit revolves around burning and bloom reactions. Emilie, who's coming in the second phase of version 4.8, can enhance his damage significantly since her kit also revolves around burning reactions.

Kinich's playstyle seems unique, as his elemental skill allows him to rotate in the air and shoot shells at the enemies. Casting his skill once will fire four shells in an "ultimate limit" situation. We don't know what this "ultimate limit" situation is, but according to available information, Natlan will introduce a new mechanism called "night spirit," and using his elemental skill allows him to enter this new state. This state might be similar to the bond of life effect, which some Fontaine characters have in their kits. It is speculated that after pressing his E, he can fire four shells at nearby enemies when the night spirit accumulates to a certain level.

According to info shared by Fullstopchan and hxg, after casting his skill, Kinich fires out some kind of coupler lock, which locks to a certain thing. This suggests that his skill has a new rope-type mechanism, and when you use his skill, he fires something in the air, like the sigil from Sumeru, and then leaps into the air to fire shells at the enemies.

To simplify, imagine Spiderman using his web shooter, which is attached to a skyscraper, while he has a gun in his other hand, firing at his enemies. This is the best explanation I could come up with, so if you still don't understand it, just wait for his gameplay.

Moving on to his talents, there's not much information yet, but one of his talents increases his shell damage. As for his constellations, his first constellation increases his shells' crit damage, whereas his second constellation decreases the Dendro resistance of nearby enemies. His third and fifth constellations increase his skill and burst levels by three, and his sixth constellation turns his shells into catapults.

Regarding his signature weapon, there's no information about its main stat yet, but its passive grants a 60% damage bonus to the character who wields it. Again, they didn't specify what type of damage, so we will have to wait for the beta for more details. However, we have new information about Mualani's signature weapon and her skill.

According to data shared by FouL, Mualani's signature weapon provides an attack bonus of 542 and a crit damage of 88% at level 90. Its passive grants a 20% increase in HP, and the normal attack damage of the character is increased by 48%. Each normal attack consumes 12% of the night spirit effect, and triggering the Vaporize reaction increases damage by 12%, with a maximum of 48%.

They also shared a little info about her skill: Mualani attacks with her skateboard and punches the enemy in the night spirit state. The word "punch" reminds me of a certain someone from the Sumeru desert, so are we getting another boxer in Natlan?

i think the new mechanic in natlan is skill that give some locomotion without cooldown for example using yelan running without stoping but only in out of combat

I think Mualani kit will synergies very well with Mavuika's, As Mavuika will provide consistent off-field Pyro work like sub dps/support, and vaporise enabler, similar to how Neuvilette, Furina kit synergies
And by using vaporize reaction she'll do more DMG than Neuvilette, but only if you get Mavuika and two other supports, if not Mavuika then the dmg will be reduced as you will have to use the old Bennet +XiangLing core for off field pyro which will left only one slot for other support

His attacks are actually pretty cool! He’ll have pixilated attack animations and his burst animation is fucking FIRE! If someone disagrees, they are an absolute fucking menace to society, they’ve probably gotten whacked by a broom too many times- Also, not just Ajaw will be pixelated.
