Installing motherboards has definitely changed since my day. Back then we used antistatic wrist straps with a wire connected to the case so as to ground ourselves to make sure we didn't accidentally shock the motherboard with static electricity.

Just got my motherboard and there was not one mounting screw in the box. So much for quality control. Where do I find these??

It seems I will have a problem with MAG B660M MB, as it's challenging to align standoffs and pre-installed shield.

I’m trying to install my Z790-A MAX WIFI board into my Fractal Design North original ATX mid-tower case and with the IO shield pre-installed the holes do not line up perfectly. They are off by about a millimetre at the top and the IO shield gets in the way of moving the board further to align them. Removing the IO shield doesn’t work either because the IO shield doesn’t snap into the case like other IO shields that are not pre-installed are designed to do. In this video they show a mobo with a pre-installed IO shield being inserted on an angle and then aligned but when I do align the IO shield the holes do not align perfectly.

To all those that are asking about screws, they are provided with your case you buy, or at least *should*

the holes in the housing do not match the board. (the difference is 1-2 millimeters) the bolts are not screwed in.

Interesting to see the installation of computer hardware with a torque screwdriver. I've been wondering about the use of a torque screwdriver BUT for heat sink mounting pressure on a CPU. Then again, it differs from CPU to CPU and from heatsink to another... but that's another subject. Your video however is kind of non informative at all. Given that you specify "Torque screwdriver" in your video title, you could have come up with a lot more info than just showing that you've selected 3 kgf/cm... Also most of the industry works in lbs/inch or Nm as most of the scaling on torque limiting equipment as well... (For those wondering. 3kgf/cm = 2.6lb/in = 0.2942 Nm) No info on what lead you to select that force, and I know for a fact that it is not specified in the mobo manual. This video should have been called "How to install a motherboard with a very expensive, yet unnecessary, screwdriver" No offense

I'm using a B560M Mortar Wifi, the preinstalled IO shield gets in the way, I can't for my life get it to sit flush against the back while lining up the motherboard holes at the same time, the holes would be like 1mm off and I can't screw them in. Any help? Currently I have no choice but to remove the shield

Wrong video for my mainboard. It doesn't have the removable shield for the connections. It's preinstalled on the mainboard itself.
