Ahhh millennials. Known for avocado toast, iced coffee, and now...the Millennial Pause?

This is a new term that has gained popularity with the rise of short-form video content. It refers to the pause millennials often leave at the beginning of their videos.

So, how can we avoid the millennial pause? Simply trim your video clips at the beginning and end to avoid any empty space. The faster you get into the content of your video, the more engaged your viewers will be!

The bigger issue is a generation whose attention spans can be maxed out in 0.5 seconds.

I am ok with people who can't wait for 1 to 2 seconds to leave. If I recording a talking head video, and someone loses interest in 1 second, then that person is not the right audience for a talking head video. They are looking for an action video.

Yeah call me crazy but if I'm making a video and the viewer can't bear to watch 1 second of silence, they wouldn't be my intended audience. Why would I bother catering a multi-minute video to an audience that can't focus for more than 1 second?

I feel like they do it cause sometimes when you hit record, it doesn't capture the first second, so they wait until the icon on the top goes from 0:00 to 0:01
