I was trying to dumb down this video and I forgot to explain what TDC Top Dead Center even is.
TDC is when the piston is at the very top of the cylinder. You use TDC as your base point when you are timing your ignition.

to adjust the valve clearance, you need to find TDC on the compresstion stroke, is it different than the exaust stroke?, if so, how do you know that your at TDC or the compression stroke ?

at 0:30 you can see the hole in the flywheel and a marking on the crank case perfectly line up at DTC. Why do you make a marking yourself?

why you use the center on the "tdc wiggle room", I asked this question to multiple people and all gave other answheres, some use the start point of tdc, some the end point of tdc and some like you, use the middle.
would like to know whats best..

I used a screw driver and the piston just cinches down on it when the piston is moving up and I can not turn the engine any more. I would think if the screw driver is in line with the up-down axis of the piston it would push it out cleanly. I am always having these weird problems where what is happening does not jive with what should be happening.

Maybe you should have finished the video by setting the timing too. TDC is the easy part, not that the rest is hard but you know

No this video didn't help me, neither did all the other videos. Everybody is showing HOW to find true TDC but nobody ever shows what to do with your degree wheel now knowing what true TDC is.
