Can we get more raw moments of frustration? This team struggled hard in the first half and a major chunk of the second half. I want to hear some of the frustration and then the cathartic redemption. That way, the redemption is so much more satisfying. There’s an entire element of the story of this game that is lacking in this video. And as a result, Sam Donald being miked up is only 10 to 15% of the entire video. we need at least a taste of how the players were experiencing the majority of this game.

We need to sign Sam on another one year contract and let JJ sit one more year and learn. He’s very young and has time to learn from these moments, and Sam is at a point where he’s showing a lot of positives for JJ to learn from. I’ve watched Sam play for eight years and I’ve never seen him more hype than this year, and hearing him mic’d up during the game gives me goosebumps.

It would’ve been really something to hear/see the moments of candid frustration at the beginning juxtaposed with the elation of a comeback at the end.

Everything feels like it’s come full circle for him; his rookie year when he was the youngest player on the Jets and Josh McCown was the oldest, McCown was Sam’s first mentor in the NFL. Now they have a player/coach relationship but I feel like they’re more equals now that Sam is older.
