The Brooklyn Firefly is a cool spot with great vibes, but it has the type of pizza Dave can't put a finger on.

One of the things I love about Dave is despite eating 10, 000 pizzas, he hasn’t bothered to notice the difference between mozzarella and fresh mozzarella. Or the difference between oregano and basil.

That pizza was 🔥 No flop, nice crunch, the sliced fresh mozzarella was perfectly melted. It's like margherita style only without the basil. For me, that's easily in the 8s.

Dave could really make a whole series on redoing all the high 8s and 9s to see how consistent they are and also talk to them about how much he’s impacted their place. I predict so much praise his ego wouldn’t be able to handle it 😂

This site used to be where Lento’s was. They had a legendary thin, crispy bar pie that was the best in Brooklyn for 70 yrs. FireFly sells a special pie that’s a homage to Lento’s. I’d like to have seen Dave taste that and rate it also. BTW FireFly is a great spot!!

Honestly, I'm torn between the amusement of seeing Dave act befuddled half the time when he sees a pizza and can't identify something, and the desire to see Dave sat down in a grade school classroom with an undersized desk while someone from Barstool sits him down and explains the facts about pizza that Dave should've learned YEARS ago just by osmosis.
