In the Kitchen & Gardening | Spend the Day with ME

Want to spend the day together with me? I'm up early, and we'll start the day by transferring some of our crystalized honey into our sous vide machine to get it warmed up slowly over the next couple of days. Then, we'll make up a really easy treat for the grandbaby who's visiting today, and then head outside and work on getting my second @GreenStalkGarden planter planted up with some great kitchen garden goodies!

Rachel, I’ve been a year-long viewer (mostly listener) on my drives to school. I’m almost done with the school year and just feel the urge to tell you how much I appreciate your calm videos on my morning drives AND now having some time to actually watch them I just wanted to share that I think you are such a beautiful woman! Genuine, heartfelt, and encouraging. Thank you for all you do!

Rachel, if you recall I told how last year was my Sabbath garden year giving ha'adamah (the ground) it's 7th year rest. Nevertheless, my friend gifted me with 3 straw bales to condition and plant the handful of her tomato & pepper starts she gave me. As well, I had a bunch of potatoes that sprouted in my cellar from the previous fall. Neither required me to disturb the ground and honestly, required little to no maintenance thus providing the GARDENER her shabbat rest too. Abba made shabbat for man, not man for Shabbat, so think nothing of planting your GreenStalks! Shalom shalom, my friend!

Easy dill. Get your dill seed from kitchen cabinet and plant it. It grows great.

Great job Rachel! I’m so glad you decided to plant your Greenstalks. I would have missed your harvests this summer. Have a great weekend!

I’m so behind this year on planting. I bought a bunch of seeds earlier in the year but the reason I’m behind is because I went on a trip to Israel! So it’s a good reason. It was awesome to be in the steps of Jesus!

Suggestion: Put down parchment paper in your pan first and lift out. It will make it easier to cut.

It sounded like he said “Yum yum Gramma” when you were scraping down the sides of the blender, the first time!

Looking forward to seeing a Greenstalk with larger things like tomatoes and cucumbers! Have never seen one in action like that, very excited to see how it progresses over the summer! 😀🌱

Rosella Purple is the dwarf variety of Cherokee Purple. May work better in the Greenstalk in the future.

Perfect timing for me....I just received my greenstalk from the Mother's day sale! You inspired me to put it together and decide what to plant in it!!😊😊😊

So happy to see you planting yourselves a minimal food garden. Even if it's just for the joy of watching things grow every day! I was also going to be minimal this year until I went to Lowes for a tomato cage. Came home with 2 pepper plants and more flowers than I have garden to plant them in!
