A really sad fact about this movie is that Judy Garland (who played Dorthy) was sexually assaulted by the munchkins, because there so tiny and short they got away with putting there hands up her dress. Like if you also feel bad for her :(

dorthy also known as Judy Garland, was forced to do drugs doing the film to act so hyper in some of the scenes. And she had to workout A LOT to look as if she was a child. like= one sad face for dorthy

You forgot something really sad. The actor who played dorothy couldn’t stop giggling in one of the scenes. She couldn’t stop so one of the Directors thought it would be good to slap Dorothy. So she could do the scene without giggling

Edit: I forgot to mention that the director felt bad. So he asked to get punched in his nose. Judy {The actor who plays Dorothy} kissed his nose instead

The wizard of oz is one of my favorite movies. I first seen it 1989, 50 years after it was released. The tornado scene is still one of the creepy scenes in the movie. This movie had comedy, horror, and drama all rolled together. Rest in peace Judy Garland, and the other belated actors and crew from this iconic movie.

Another weird fact about the wizard of Oz is that in one of the scenes the scarecrow had a gun... Like and actual gun! And of course being completely obsessed with the musical wicked I have to say: Fiyero as the scarecrow having a gun would make sense bcuz he was captain of the guards right?! Wicked conspiracies...

Something she didn’t mention: I read somewhere once that the actress who played Dorothy was often sexually/physically abused while on set. Dunno if it’s true or not but ima put it out there.😐

My theory is that when dorathy sings over the rainbow 🌈 she's singing about going to heaven.but when her house went will the tornado that she died . Because the world seemed so mutch like heaven and later in the movie the emarled city was under the rainbow, and sometimes when someone dies they say they crossed the rainbow bridge.😱😱😱

One fact about the movie is: That Judy Garland (who plays Dorothy) had been slapped by the director several times, because she kept laughing when they were trying to film, then when they finished the movie she killed herself because of an overdose.

Fun fact, the movie had the actors fall asleep in a poppy field because poppies used to be used in Morphine, a drug that makes you fall asleep and never wake up, it kills you, but when it snowed it killed all the poppies therefor saving them

What’s sad is Dorothy got payed the least because they were unfair to kid actors the scarecrow was payed the most

You didn’t mention the most disturbing fact which was about the extreme diet and mistreating of the girl who played Dorothy. She could only have one bowl of chicken soup, several coffees through the day and a lot of packs of CIGARETTES A DAY.
