Thumb rule. Never manually type the recipient’s UPI id. Instead ask him to text / whatsapp you, and then copy-paste it from there to your payment app, that way you’re always safe from your side.

पता है मेरे पापा की आदत है... किसी अंजाने को पैसे भेजने से पहले 1₹ भेज कर उसको call करते है की 1₹ गया की नहीं, जब सामने वाला व्यक्ति confirm बता देता है तब पूरा amount send करते हैं, कितना सुन्दर तरीका है गलती की गुंजाइश न होने का ✌️✌️✌️

In Australia, if you're sending it to a new account. Bank automatically places it on hold for 24 hours so you can cancel or reverse the transaction in case you transferred it to the wrong person. I think this should be implemented in India as well.

Best way is to use QR code but for that UPI application should be enabled for picking up QR code from gallery alternately ask the person to whom you want to pay send a request which you can use to send the money.

bhai simple trick hai agar koi apko upi id bhejta hai usko type nat karo sidha copy karo, galat bhi ho gaya to samne wale ki galti ho jayegi

Also, 24 hrs is the TAT after every step in the process is done. You should have spoken how much time and efforts you put submit all the documents you mentioned and wait time in the entire process. That’s the actual time one would need to get back their money. Also they need to be lucky every time they make such mistake, that the person who has received the money has not withdrawn it or purchased gold or silver online. 😂 but thanks for sharing the process. 🙏🏼👏🏼👍🏼✌🏼
