Would love to see a data terminal systems 200 or 400 dismantled always have been facinated by them and they had the dot matrix printers instead of the junky solenoid ones!!!

The solenoids were interesting. I don't know what those 'zener' packs are either. I've never seen anything like that before.

That machine would have worked fine if you had the key and did a STATUS or RAM clear on it. The printer is the same style used by the early TEC MA series cash registers.
Well built to run continuously 8 hours or more a day, 7 days a week.

Best printer in any cash register, this machine in general was pretty crap.
