This is why the Army/Navy rivalry is the greatest in the world
There is no hate, or anger, just wanting to have fun and have a great time

Army, brute force trauma, Navy, a precise scalpel. Loved them both!

I'm a disabled combat Army vet. I was in my high schools drumline. The Navy's technicality and finesse was superb.

Isn’t it funny how things just naturally fall into their stereotypes? Army - rough and rugged, a little reckless and In your face. Navy- finesse and precision.

First, Navy’s drum line is excellent. But Army has more of that swing and swag that can called soul. Kudos to both lines.

NAVY line is small but mighty!! ARMY has show moves! Loved when both played together!!

The integrity of the Navy frontline to stand w/o withdrawal AND hold a pleasant demeanor whilest under "powder attack prank" (which showed immediately on pristine drums & surely added a TON of uniform clean up time & effort) shows their absolute unity and trust in their team to take all and give all- TOGETHER unhindered to carry on at their best. 👏 Bravo!

Navy vet here. Two different styles for 2 different branches. Always knew the Navy drumline was super technical but didn't know the Army's style would fit them so well. All the Army folks I've known are goofballs, deadly goofballs but still goofballs. Loved seeing the jam together at the end.

I spent 23 years in the Army, but have to give the win to Navy. They look and sound sharp. :)

I was in the Army for 7 years and then the Navy for 20 years. They are both winners. God bless all our troops!

Navy won hands down. Great job everyone. Both Army and Navy did us all, proud.

I had to revisit this video since he is no longer with us, I remember the good times we had and how proud he was of these fine people.

My dad served in the Navy during the Vietnam era, he was in Guam and Panama.

I remember the very first time I played this and how excited he was to hear the Navy play the drums (as well as Army! We are a military family! 💪🏽).

Phenomenal drum playing from both parties.

I thank everyone who has served past and present, your service for this country does not go unnoticed.

In the words of my Dad, "Freedom is not free".

I miss you Dad and thank you for your service. 😇

4:01 The way the Army bass drummers shift the beat individually was next level. Would love to hear the Army bass drummers with the Navy snare drummers.

Go Navy! My dad was a machinist mate on the USS Lexington CV16 in WWII and fought in 7 combat theaters in the South Pacific 🇺🇸🗽. Came home in '44 and in '50 started a 22 year career in the NYFD retiring as Captain engine company 218 Bushwick 🚒. My hero! Miss ya dad. 🥺

Just showed this to my 94 year old friend who was a captain in the Navy. He absolutely loved it. Thx for sharing.

This is so surprisingly fitting. Army played a straight forward solid crowd pleaser capitalizing on their larger bass line and thus fuller sound while Navy played far more technically focusing on individual sounds to create diversity. So basically Army huah overrun the enemy with infantry and tanks Vs. Navy technicians and engineers operating ships and submarines... Even the drumlines exhibit the cultural differences between the services. Cool how that played out.

Ok that was awesome! I loved the snare flair on the Navy squad, but the cadence and rhythm of the toms and bass on the Army side were just so darn catchy!! They all did a fabulous job! 👏👏👏

Navy took that!!!❤ Takes me back to HS and HBCU battle of the band. Now THAT is where the moves, skills and flavor REALLY comes in if you are into good drumlines❤❤❤

this is probably one of the coolest videos I have seen in a long time, so much compassion for the music and so much fun with everyone!
