It’s a God-given right to know the history of Islam and its global impact. Whether it’s representing Muslims as Latinos–the fastest growing population within Islam–or addressing the scientific, artistic, and historic contributions of Muslims around the world, IslamInSpanish continues to abolish stigmas and stereotypes wrongly assigned to our religion of peace.
This October, the Austin chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations @cairtxdfw , a
chapter of the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, invited IslamInSpanish to Austin’s first Muslim cultural art and food festival. Hosted at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, the festival celebrates the rich diversity of the Austin Muslim community through art, food, educational programs in English and Spanish, and cultural performances.
