This small variant, and the last big block version of the Evinrude G2 was and to this day still is the best outboard ever produced. With proper rigging and good fuel these motors provide a fantastic boating experience. I really hope some how Evinrude comes back with a vengeance. The G2 was not given a fair chance and got stopped before it really had a chance to prove itself

I just about cry when I see these videos, as I was just going to repower my old sea nymph deck boat with one.. and then, BRP told us all to F*** off. IMO, its a much better design than all of the 4 stroke offerings out there, especially with the one button winterizing and 50A dedicated charging output, but now its just a memory of something that was.

I have a question regarding propellers, you guys may know: I managed to get a 140hp g2. I now know that the gear case is 4.25. How many splines are there in the axle? Is there a michigan or solas etc hubkit that fits? RX3/RX4 14.5 propellers fit but I would need a 25” 3-blade.
