Their poor sister. They were supposed to attend her wedding today. Unimaginably sad.

This hurts so deeply. I was a Johnny Hockey fan ever since he broke into the league. He was an amazing person and the fact his brother also left this world with him just hurts even more. God rest their souls.

Been a hockey fan for 17 years, and this is some of the most heartbreaking news i’ve seen in years. My heart goes out to the family and his teammates

My wife just told me yesterday to take a day off work and spent it with my daughter because in her words "you can always make more money, your daughter will grow up once" so I did. Then you wake up to news of this nature and you see how life can be taken away so fast. Rip to these two men snd I can only hope their families find peace.

How could anyone not like the way this guy skated and played the game with such delicate lightness. Such an amazing skater with super soft hands!!!

Flames fan here. I can't begin to tell you the impression he made on me, and so many of us in Calgary. He meant a lot to the team and more to the entire community. I'm just gutted by this. RIP Johnny.

As an Edmonton Oilers fan. I hated it when he played against us when he was in Calgary.

Great hockey player and will be missed by many. RIP Johnny and his younger bro.

I wasn't expecting this kind of news to start the morning. Absolutely tragic news 😢💔. Felt such a kinship to Johnny Hockey as a fellow Jersey guy. He was one of my favorite players to watch in hockey 🏒. He will be sorely missed.
RIP Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau 🕊️🌹. Condolences to their family, friends and fans all across the great sport of hockey 🙏🏼.

As a small forward from New Jersey I always looked up to his game and what he meant to Jersey youth hockey. Was gutted when he didn't come here but that comes from a place of admiration. RIP Johnny Hockey.

As a Preds fan, he was a Preds killer. Johnny was an incredible player and seemed like a great guy as well. I’m sorry to hear about this tragedy of Johnny and his brother, Matthew.
