Make your own wand

Want your own wand? I'll show you how to make your very own in this weeks episode of That's PS!

Items you'll need:
Wooden Dowel
Carving Tools
Suede Lace
Hot Glue Gun & Glue
Wood Stain & Brush
Sandpaper (I used a medium grade)

This is a really cool idea!
I made my own wand as well, but with a chopstick, hot glue, and acrylic paint.
Basically, where someone might whittle a design, I used some cooled hot glue around the chop stick to mold what I wanted.

Keep doin' what you're doin', man! It's great!!

Yup. If you want to. You can make a wand however you'd like. This was what came to mind when I decided to try my hand at making one.

Paul, I am finally delving into your past crafts and - as I suspected - you have always been this adorable. 
I recently moved, and all of my favorite crafts, including my HP-inspired wand that lights up, are in storage... hopefully I'll have time to make something to share soon!

Although I absolutely loved the trilogy (alloy of law was pretty good too), I have always had a hard time picturing exactly what a mist cloak actually looked like. So, sadly I don't think I'll be able to pull that off. Thanks very much for the suggestion though!

I did silk screening in high school art, but it needed a lot of stuff I don't have access to. I think a lot about different t-shirt designs, but sadly haven't had anything pop into my head that I would like to put on one.

If I ever get an idea, I know there are lots of places that can do printing.. just don't know what one is the 'best' though.

I learned how to do screen printing too but you need the equipment! I was designing one and I looked over at different fabric paints and youtube videos where people just paint a design the same way you would print a wall. But there has to be a better way... this is why I asked!

I created a nerdfighteria group and I wanted t-shirts but most places would print 1 design 20 times and we wanted to be able to make them more personal.

Ok. I agree, Alloy of Law was pretty good. Bit of a loose end. What about a headset that makes you look like Marsh/Ironeyes or any other steel inquisitor?

The hot glue and paint seems to be a pretty common way to make a wand. I wish I had known at the time I made this.. since that sounds a LOT faster than trying to whittle :)
