When I was younger, my grandma taught me how to make my own Harry Potter inspired wands. I've been making these wands for as long as I can remember and they're SUPER easy to make. Since a lot of people (including myself) no longer feel comfortable buying official Harry Potter merchandise, I thought it would be fun to teach you how to make your very own Harry Potter inspired wands!

I remember making these back in the third grade before the pandemic. My third grade teacher introduced me to Harry Potter and I loved it! Gonna try this way this year!

This is actually extremely similar to how I make my wands. First, I use cardstock, (idk if that’s spelled right, but whatever) this gives it a more durable structure, but only a bit. Same thing with glue, but I use spray paint, but it’s probably better to use paint, I just don’t have any paint except for cheap watercolor(which doesn’t look good on these wands). After all that, I use some mod Podge as the finish, it gives it a nice glossy appearance, and makes it pretty durable.

Very neat and interesting idea to create wands this way! Especially if you don't have access to woodlands, for example! Though if you do, I always LOVE to go out, and find the perfect stick, to create the best possible wand out of! I've done some similar stuff, by taking a paintbrush, and actually removing the brush end, and just using the handle as a wand, using the glue-gun to create a nice bumpy pattern, but now, I'm thinking of taking my whittling experience to higher levels and carve by hand, like I used to as a kid!

this is interesting, maybe I'll give it a shot. I do have Hermione's wand as a replica when I went to Universal along with a ravenclaw scarf, I like to try different arts and crafts and do new things so sounds fun
