When the game first came out, you had the option to buy physical copies of the photos you took with that camera. The photos came in the mail like a traditional photo sleeve would, made for a nice little souvenir of the game.

I used the camera to take photos of things I thought were “evidence”. I thought it was going to play some role in the story somehow, so my end credits were kind of bleak haha

This game was amazing. After finishing it, it never left my mind for weeks.

Also something interesting to mention:

Throughout the story, we learn that Delilah's out here for the reason as you are; to escape from a heartbreak. She knows the breakup is her fault, she feels guilty about it, yet she did it anyway.

Now the intersting part about this is that she essentially ends up doing the exact same thing over again: she falls in love with Henry, however ends up leaving at the very end, despite Henry asking her to wait for him. This already, based on the previous relationship, gives us an insight on how she felt when she ended up leaving. She felt bad, yet did it anyway. And knowing her, besides saying that she might visit, we know that she never will. This truly was goodbye and it showcases how besides her past mistake, Delilah still ends up repeating her past mistake once more.

Perhaps i'm reading too much into it, but that's the beauty of Firewatch; the unspoken words and the moments that are not explictly stated, yet hinted at throughout enviromental clues and storytelling.

Why would someone think the 18 pictures are a glitch though? Henry immediately mentions after picking up the camera "they only used 3 or 4 pictures".

I'm really glad to see that, even though the Firewatch community is quite small, it’s still alive and sharing new content about the game. Firewatch remains one of my all-time favorites—the atmosphere, the graphics, the story, the art style; it all just draws me back every year for another playthrough. It never gets old. We really need a sequel or a new game that captures the same magic.

I loved this game. So simple, but very refreshing. I think because it's one of the few games that feel normal (human) without trying to be next big thing

Dude, a while ago I watched the first few seconds of this short and immediately clicked away to avoid spoilers. I'm so happy I did, as I've finally seen the end of the game and coincidentally stumbled upon this short once again

Despite what a funsucker is saying in a comment, there is a nice stanley parable easter egg that lands you in the tower while the mc is out, if this were timed right, that could be who is seen and then when stanley goes its the dad sneaking around. I know its not true but they went through the trouble of purposely connecting stanley to firewatch in a mysterious part of the game.
