In my opinion Boston is the only big city on the list. The other places are basically large suburbs with a small downtown. Its not surprising that those places have low crime. On the other hand, Boston is a model for the importance of the church and community in creating a safer space for all.

I believe St. Paul's Cathedral is located in London England and not in St. Paul, Minn. Any honest safety rating for St. Paul would have to include Minneapolis.

Some of these cities have very high property crime rates. They may have lower homicide rates but they're still not safe. Additionally, some of them are quite ugly. I've lived in Colorado springs and El Paso and they are both quite gritty.
