I made these. Great thing when you are craving something sweet while being on a diet. Keeps you sane.

I tried the strawberry ice cream and the peanut butter cocoa one. They were both delicious and the bananas were frozen for 5 hrs exactly. However the peanut butter one is the ultimate best when it's just mixed and served cuz it gets hard when you put it back in the freezer afterwards. But the strawberry banana one is heavenly after an hr in the freezer after mixing texture-wise.
Make sure to pulse while blending and not go all the way.

Would recommend to wait until the bananas are spotty [ripe] before you freeze the bananas. They will be much sweeter and will be much better on the digestive system.

I tried making banana ice cream this way... It broke my blender. Be sure to let the chunks thaw a bit before blending. Learn from my mistake.

I don't like bananas but into the recipes they are so good, and these ice crem look like so good. Seriously they look like amazing !! ....

HIGHLY recommend the chocolate peanut butter one, I'm eating it right now! So good with some granola. 

Tip: If your bananas aren't ripe enough (brown and spotty) then you can put them in the oven at 350F, skins on, for about 10-ish minutes or until brown and voila! Sweet bananas without having to wait (:

No no no... those bananas are NOT ripe enough for this... wait until they're turning brown if you make this, it's what makes the ice cream sweet.

Was just looking for something healthy yet sweet and tasty for my mother-in-law and this sounds perfect! She's gained tiny bit of weight in her older days and this sounds like something I might get her to eat with good conscience when she comes to visit :)

It will of course taste like banana chocolate, banana vanilla and so on. Just keep that in mind. Also like others said, use older bananas, better for sweetness.

If your ice cream is freezing too hard (and you can't turn up your freezer) try adding more milk and letting it thaw for a few minutes before eating. I make this every few days :)
