President Xi Jinping has opened his Communist Party's congress. He addressed more than 2-thousand delegates from China's only ruling political party. Xi presented his vision for the future of the world's most populous nation. This includes his goal of reunifying the self-governing island of Taiwan, even if it means using force.

There is no confusion. Taiwan was never under the control of the CCP.
It's annoying when news organizations always say China wants to "reunite" or "take back" Taiwan. Those terms are specifically used by the communist to make their actions appear justifiable, and once you use them, you're half way into the lie already, the term "Reunite" needs to translate to "Invade".

We can't revert to Beijing rule because we were never ruled by Beijing. Even for the four years (1945-1949) when most of Taiwan was ruled from China it was from Nanking/Nanjing, not Beijing/Peiking. And we have NEVER been a part of the CCP's "new China".

Taiwan clearly has the superior government, with more freedom and quality of life, less corruption. So if there is any sort of reunification, it should be under control of Taiwanese government and complete dismantling of CCP

What part of N-O don’t you understand? Reunification is a mutual agreements from both parties. Taiwan says NO! So no reunification is going to happen. And besides, Taiwan has never been part of China, under CCP’s rule.
