When anxiety befriends perfectionism

When you are struggling with anxiety, you turn to perfectionism as a coping skill where you falsely think, "if I do things perfectly, then nothing will go wrong, I feel better."

Other times, the pressure to do things perfectly becomes so debilitating that it leads to heightened anxiety, self-doubt, and insecurity.

At the end of the day, perfecitonism and anxiety go hand in hand.

While there are many ways to manage it, one important tool is learning to do things even when feeling scared and anxious.
