IIT professors are very well qualified, and just want their students to have deep understanding over their subject.

Not every professor is like that man, I am also an asst professor in a govt college, but I always try to point out the genuine mistakes of the students just to nurture their deep subject knowledge, and I feel that this is my duty because I have given my whole life to only one subject and specially in the particular area of that subject. So, please don't give these kind of general statement if you are teacher too.

I have studied in IIT Madras. I can tell these teachers are making fool out of the students. This is not exactly what happens in IITs, even though the exams are very tough, the professors challenge the creative abilities of the students rather than rote learning. It may also be the case that this guy never went to any IIT, and just for show off is creating such stories and students instead of study6are getting fooled.

This is not true .... I have done Btech from IIT DELHI and Mtech from IIT Bombay, and this thing doesn't happen.

No IIT has excellent teachers . But my only problem is with Indian education system not IIT alone is, we teach a lot of theory, what about application.

For example I see They teach great courses in Aerodynamics, Structures etc. But Why does India not make their own commercial plane. ?

Book knowledge is one thing, but why don't we gear the Indian education to make things more on their own.


Creativity is key, text books are theory. Both are needed.
