Everyone has to earn an income to live. I’m so glad you made the point of mentioning that everyone you’ve met works in some way. It’s important for people to realize they can’t just hop in a van and go and expect to survive without income.

my parents lived in a converted school bus when I was a baby, they weren't jobless - they were vendors at renaissance faires, so they traveled the country in their bus to work at different faires. Sometimes they did craft shows too. When my brother and I became school-aged they settled in one place. They've long since divorced but my dad still does ren faires and this past fall I helped him out at one for the first time. Honestly it was way more interesting than any of the previous jobs I've had - and way more work, too. Better clothes, though! People have some very strange ideas about alternative life styles.

Thank you so much for answering my question. My husband is starting to work a bit at home and I work as a cashier for three to four days out of the week and saving up as we go. Hopefully we will be eventually joining the van train and I can find a job online so I can work from home. Still I'm so thankful that you answered my question. You guys are living our dream. I just hope we can get there one day.
