Although having the Tex-Mex in all of my Strats myself i must admit that i tend to like the Fat '50s even more. BTW glad to hear somebody not shredding all the time!!

This is the type of a/B that is actually useful. Totally agree with your take on the pickups too. I had some EJs in a mid 60s Strat. They were good, but not the holy Grail. As far as a Strat neck pickup, I keep coming back to the Klein 59

Both sound great and the 50s are nicer but for the massive price difference I'll take the Tex Mex. Wonder if just taking some of the treble off the Tex Mex pups would have them sounding closer?

Es que tengo mics ceramicos del 90 y ojo en sonido no son nada malo pero son muy ruidosos cuando le das ganancia

Приветствую, а я вот недавно поставил текс мекс сет с пикгардом на харлей бентон из ясеня. Могу лишь сказать что верхняя середина, круглые басы и верха стреляют дай Бог. Единственное, вес тушки оставляет желать лучшего, 4, 5 кг на страте просто вынос спины
