This song made me cry so much in the show because this was my mom’s absolute favorite song and she sadly passed away. I started crying my eyes out because of how much I miss her. And this similar thing happened to me at one of my school dances and this song came on and I couldn’t hold back tears. I am so lucky to have so many great friends that have helped me through everything I have gone through.

I love this song.. I watched 13 reasons why with my daughter when she was struggling with depression and suicidal ideation.. I told her that all the hardships in life come to build character and strength, we are not promised a perfect life, we are only given the opportunity to live it. And suicide not only takes you away from us, but it takes us away with you.. a couple months after this talk my nephew committed suicide and time has stood still ever since 😔🙏🏽 I beg you if your feeling pain so deeply that you feel it’s your only option remember there are people out here who felt the same way.. but they understand that life grants us another opportunity every day your here!
