In the years after my girlfriend died, this song haunted me. It would randomly come on the radio when I drove by one of our spots. It would show up in a random shuffle mix when I started writing a journal entry about her. I didn't even know who sang it until a friend took me to a Lord Huron concert on her anniversary and, of course, they played it. For me, it will forever be her song, even though I don't know if she ever heard it.
